Todmorden Lead Thief Jailed

Jack Hinchcliffe of Tower Street, Cornholme near Todmorden, was jailed for six months after admitting theft and criminal damage to the roof of St Michael’s Church, Cornholme. Hinchcliffe, 31, was spotted by a nearby resident who alerted the police. Upon their arrival he was arrested and his van searched where police found lead believed to value up to £900.
Over £5000 of damage was caused to the church. He also tested positive for opiates and cocaine but disputed the results.
