Sky News In Calderdale For Pre-Budget Interviews
A Sky News television crew were in Hebden Bridge today making a live broadcast. The news channel interviewed all of the three main Calder Valley parliamentary candidates on the subject of the economy, just prior to Alistair Darling’s 2010 pre-election budget.
Labour’s Calder Valley candidate Steph Booth was interviewed first, then Conservative candidate Craig Whittaker, and finally Hilary Myers the Lib-Dem candidate. All three candidates were being asked for their views and opinions on economic matters affecting both the local area, and the rest of the country.
With the General Election looming, The Chancellor of the Exchequer’s budget for 2010 has been eagerly anticipated.
