Gun Found During Todmorden Drugs Raid
A recent police drug bust at a house in Todmorden discovered large quantities of illegal drugs including heroin, cocaine and marijuana. Over £20,000 in cash was also seized during the raid, along with a replica handgun.
Following tip-offs from members of the public, police spent two weeks observing the house in Longfield Grove, Todmorden before making the raid which saw five local men arrested. The men, aged 51, 38, 26 and two aged 22, were released on bail pending the results of forensic analysis of the evidence.
The police are encouraging the public to look out for anything suspicious in their local area, and to pass on any information about suspected illegal drug activity. Anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
Sergeant Michael Bowden, who led the raid, is quoted in the Todmorden News as saying: “We need the public to continue passing us information about suspected illegal drug activity.”
