Eco-friendly Local Company Recycles Plastic Waste
A local company are doing amazing work to help the environment by manufacturing an innovative range of products from recycled plastic, which is helping to divert British plastic waste from landfill and back into everyday use in commercial and domestic applications.
Based in Halifax, i-plas have helped to pioneer re-use of waste plastic, converting it into recycled plastic picnic tables and benches, decking, fencing and more. Unlike other companies, i-plas only use plastic waste which is sourced from within the UK for their recycled products, reducing carbon emissions from overseas transportation.
One particularly innovative product the company supplies is a recycled plastic ground reinforcement solution which can be used for car parking and driveways, pathways and turf reinforcement, whilst allowing surface rainwater to permeate back into the ground and therefore helping to reduce the risk of flooding.
There are also a multitude of applications for the company’s range of recycled plastic profiles which can be ideal for replacing traditional construction materials such as timber, concrete and steel. This recycled plastic ‘lumber’ can help to dramatically reduce the carbon footprint of construction projects, and divert waste plastic away from landfill sites.
Any company, local authority or individual interested in the wide range of recycled plastic products which i-plas supply can contact them by telephone on 0845 4599 352, or visit the i-plas website for more information.
