Top Marks For Calderdale Pupils
The Department for Education has released provisional results for National Curriculum tests and Teacher Assessments for 2010. Yet again, pupils in Calderdale schools have produced some first class results which are above the national average in both English and mathematics.
Council Support For Calderdale Businesses
Calderdale councillors have voted to give a £100,000 boost to the area’s businesses. Members of Calderdale Council’s Cabinet voted to allocate the extra money from the Economic Fighting Fund to the Business Improvement Grant Initiative when they met on Monday (August 2nd).

Local Campsite One Of England's Best
Jerusalem Farm has been named one of the top ten campsites in England.
Camping Magazine listed the site, near Halifax, as one of its ten best sites in its July issue. Describing the site as a ‘treasure’, the magazine named it number 6 in the country. The description praises the site’s idyllic setting and lack of car access (there is car parking but cars are not allowed onto the actual site). Camping Magazine continues:
