Recycling Claims Investigated By Trading Standards
An Hebden Bridge firm specialising in recycled products was recently taken to task by West Yorkshire Trading Standards office, when doubts were raised over the validity of claims made by the company in advertising and marketing campaigns.
Facelift For Some Of Todmorden's Terraces
Work will begin shortly on a facelift of some prominent terraces close to the centre of Todmorden. Homes in terraces around Der Street are set for a stone clean and re-point. Other works will include new rainwater goods and improvement of communal courts behind the properties.
Council To Discuss Support For Retailers In Todmorden
Local retailers could be set to get a helping hand at Christmas from Calderdale Council. Members of Calderdale Council’s Cabinet will discuss a proposal to provide an £88,000 package to help reduce the number of empty shops in the borough and encourage people to buy locally over the Christmas period when they meet next Monday (Sept 13th).

More than 20 million people have lost their homes and livelihoods in the floods which have been sweeping through Pakistan. Whole cities have been evacuated as Pakistan’s flood surge travels south down the Indus River.
