SDC Pays Tribute To Incredible Edible Todmorden
At an event in London today attended by HRH the Prince of Wales, the Sustainable Development Commission will unveil Incredible Edible Todmorden as one of 19 Breakthrough ideas which could transform the UK into a sustainable society.

Calderdale’s museums and galleries are seeing record number of visitors this year. Visits to all Calderdale Council’s museums and galleries soared by 54 per cent during April and May 2009, compared to the same period last year.

The building of new state of the art swimming and fitness facilities for Brighouse and Sowerby Bridge became a reality last night (23rd June) when Calderdale Council’s Planning Committee gave the green light to both schemes.

English Heritage have branded Todmorden town centre as an area of neglect and decay in their annual national survey of listed buildings and monuments, which this year also included conservation areas.
