Advice Centre Open Over Christmas Holidays
People in Todmorden will be able to get face to face advice on Council services between Christmas and New Year. For the first time, Calderdale Council is opening Todmorden Customer First office on Monday December 29th, Tuesday December 30th and Wednesday December 31st. The service will be based at Todmorden Library instead of the usual location of Todmorden Community College, from 10am to 1pm.
Flagship Leisure Centre Planned For Halifax
Plans for a flagship leisure and swimming pool complex located at the North Bridge Leisure Centre site in Halifax were approved by Calderdale Councillors last night. And they have voted to allocate £2million from the Council’s reserves towards the cost of the project. Members of Calderdale Council’s Cabinet approved a proposal to explore the possibility of centralising and upgrading swimming and leisure facilities in Halifax at the North Bridge Leisure Centre site.
