Northlight Art Studios is a not for profit artist’s cooperative located on Valley Road Hebden Bridge. We offer good quality studio space to artists and craftspeople within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Our successful ‘Back Door’ education and gallery initiative offers stimulating creative courses and workshops. Courses are taught in small groups by highly experienced artist – tutors. Subjects covered are general painting and drawing, mixed media, printmaking, writing, life drawing, book binding, textiles and art history.

We also run children’s Saturday workshops through our ‘Young Back Door’ programme. Northlight artists have collaborated with Age Concern to run ceramics workshops and both the facility and skills resource is available for such partnership projects.

The studios open their door twice a year for their Open Studio events – the Summer event being part of the larger Hebden Bridge Open Studios. The Back Door Gallery presents collaborative studio exhibitions and showcase exhibitions for studio members.
